Our prospective study included infants with gestational ages between 23 and 30 weeks who underwent conventional video electroencephalogram monitoring during the first four days following birth. For identified seizure-like occurrences, concurrently recorded vital signs were examined during the baseline period prior to the event and throughout the event itself. Variations in vital signs were classified as significant if heart rate or respiratory rate demonstrated a deviation greater than two standard deviations from the infant's baseline physiological average, determined from a 10-minute period directly preceding the seizure-like event.
